3 Reasons Why I Never Regret Moving My Body

Some mornings I wake up and feel like a slug in my PJ’s and I don’t want to get out of them.

My to-do list is already shouting at me before I’ve even made my coffee. I feel heavy, distracted, maybe even a little down. And the last thing I want to do is put on tights and go lift heavy things at the gym.

But I’ve learned something about those days.

They are the days I need movement the most. These are the days I have to show up for me, first.

It’s easy to assume we should only work out when we’re motivated, when we feel good, when we’ve had a perfect 8-hour sleep, and our schedule is clear. But honestly? That’s not most days.

Most days, it’s a bit of a push.
And still, I do it. I show up for me because I need it.

And without fail, something shifts.

I feel stronger. My breath deepens. My mind clears.
By the end, I’m not dragging anymore—I’m flowing.
I’m more confident in my body. My ideas are sharper. I feel capable again.

Movement reminds me that I can do hard things.
It reconnects me to myself when I’m feeling off.
And it proves to me—over and over—that how I feel in the beginning isn’t how I have to feel by the end.

So if you’re in one of those “meh” days, where the gym feels like just another box to check, I get it. But trust me—move anyway. Even a walk. Even a stretch. Even 15 minutes of something.

Because movement doesn’t just change your body.
It changes your state.

And the version of you on the other side of it?
She feels proud. She feels powerful. She remembers what she’s made of.
